Many people may wonder if hot melt glue still requires oil paper when they see the title? What is the use of using this paper? Today, let me briefly introduce to you what this paper really is? And what is its purpose?
In fact, this paper is not called oil paper, it is actually called release paper. Of course, not all solid hot melt adhesives require this release paper to wrap. For example, granular hot melt adhesive particles and strip shaped hot melt adhesive rods generally do not need to be wrapped unless special requirements are made by individual customers. Due to their slight surface stickiness, they generally do not stick together and can be separated. So it can be directly boxed or bagged after production.
And the block shaped hot melt adhesive is also known as pressure-sensitive adhesive. The general surface viscosity is stronger compared to the adhesive particles and sticks. If release paper is not used, it will be easy to stick all of them together, making it difficult to separate and melt them when using. So release paper will be used to pack and ship.
An additional layer of release paper also provides an additional layer of protection, especially for pressure-sensitive adhesive blocks. Additionally, an additional layer of release paper can better protect the hot melt adhesive from impurities and moisture.
